Full Swing KIT Baseball
Lead Product Designer · Full Swing
Full Swing built its reputation on radar-based launch monitors for golf. KIT Baseball was their first product outside that sport — a portable launch monitor and companion app designed for the high school and travel ball programs that had never had access to this kind of data. I led design across the on-device HUD, companion app, and coach dashboard, taking the product from concept to market in five months.

My Role
I was the sole designer on a team of eight, responsible for the on-device heads-up display, companion app, and coach dashboard. I presented to leadership at decision points, partnered with engineering on feasibility tradeoffs, and tested with real coaches and players throughout. We took the product from concept to market in five months, introducing first-to-market data like Smash Factor and Potential Smash Factor for baseball.
Session Setup
The golf product had no concept of teams or rosters. I designed the entire team management layer from scratch, giving coaches the ability to add players, sync the device, and start a session without friction.
During a Session
Athletes see key metrics up front. Coaches drill into the detail. The dual-mode switching between hitting and pitching is immediate, each surfacing its own 12 data points while sharing a consistent visual language. The digital field visualization and Smash Factor gave younger players something to react to beyond raw numbers.
Post Session
Reward the athlete, inform the coach. The post-session experience surfaces achievements for players and clean summaries for coaches to reference or share.
Impact
New market entry Led design for Full Swing's first non-golf product, expanding the company into a new sport and customer segment.
